Fish Conservation
Watch these men in wellies and waders as they attempt to remove five-thousand bream from a small lake in Sussex - in a single day!
From the collection of:

Overview
Anglers do some very necessary work in this fascinating film from the Eastbourne Angling Club. Beginning with views of the lake, we hear why its stock of young bream must be removed. Volunteer teams play out a floating net across the lake, which is very gradually drawn closer to the lake's edge - passing through weeds and bulrushes, until thousands of fish appear. Large fish like pike are returned while the bream are loaded into tanks aboard a lorry for re-stocking elsewhere.
