You have to admit, it’s a pretty flaky advert for chocolate.

Since 1920 the rippled Flake has offered a lighter alternative to the solid tablet chunk, and since 1959 its screen advertising has prodded it unambiguously towards women. A long series of adverts with a succession of ‘Flake girls’ have been built around carefully crafted moments of secret indulgence in often perplexing surroundings; strong on sensuality and weak on sense. But if you’ve got 99 problems your chocolate bar doesn’t have to be one.
