A mysterious woman arrives on the eve of a wedding, revealing a secret family history in Shiva Raichandani's explosive, award-winning musical.

Madhav (played by director Raichandani) is due to marry Sufi when their grandmother shows up out of the blue to reveal long-buried family secrets.

Queer Parivaar is an independently crowdfunded film bringing together artists, activists, and icons from the wider British South Asian LGBTQIA+ community. The film premiered at the 2022 BFI Flare Festival, won the Iris Prize for Best British Short and was a festival favourite, receiving several international Audience Award and Jury Prize nominations, from Korea to Canada. Held in university archives for its rare intergenerational representation, it celebrates chosen family on and off screen. Executive Produced by Huma Qazi, the film has an original soundtrack featuring various artists including Rushil Ranjan, Abi Sampa and Leo Kalyan.
