Overview
Whilst the buildings all around show signs of bomb damage, the blitz spirit shines through with these vignettes of people celebrating the end of the War in Europe. A joker entertains a crowd awaiting a parade, flags and bunting adorn the streets, one poignant banner welcomes Charlie home and a proud housewife polishes her windows ready for the celebrations. We end with a street party with plenty of food for all, whilst women are dancing in costumes from around the world.
