Overview

The Richmond Championship Show was first held in 1895 and is one of the oldest shows of its kind in Britain. Already described in the caption for this short film as a “famous open air show”, it features lots of smart looking people at a busy show, with numerous pavilions in the background. The camera examines some of the dogs entering the competition, including a bulldog that laps up milk while its owner shields it from the sun with a parasol.
