Coca-Cola: Refreshes You Best - Bowling

It’s in the swing with zip and zing; it’s an early sixties Coke ad.

Advert 1963

Overview

What’s in the swing with zip and zing? What’s up in the air with poise and flair? That’s Coke, apparently. This 1963 advertising campaign was home grown for the UK market and goes out of its way to separate Coca-Cola from other soft drinks as the epitome of sophistication and modern sixties life. A contemporary review of the ad archly suggested that it was “presumably the drink for confused, with-it young people”.
