Overview

Australian actor Bryan Brown is terrific as David Parker, a successful Australian-English businessman who goes missing in Germany. After 11 days he is set free, but finds the police and his family suspect he is lying. Angry and determined, Parker sets out to discover who kidnapped him and why.

Parker is an intense crime thriller from writer Trevor Preston and director Jim Goddard. In their debut feature together, they hone the pared-down atmospherics of their successful television gangland thrillers, Out (1978) and Fox (1980), to offer a taut view of how drugs-driven criminality could infiltrate middle-class Britain in the 1980s.
