The grand opening of Sheffield University by King Edward VII on 12 July 1905. This film was made by Frank Mottershaw, a pioneer British filmmaker who set up the Sheffield Photo Company in 1900 and is best known for his fiction films including the pacy chase film A Daring Daylight Burglary (1903).
