Lesbian Space Princess

This outrageously joyful animation and festival favourite follows a timid princess on her quest for romance and self-belief.

Meet Saira (Shabana Azeez, The Pitt), the anxious and introverted princess of Clitopolis. When her ex-girlfriend Kiki is kidnapped by the Straight White Maliens, Saira sets off across the galaxy to rescue her. Along the way she forms unexpected friendships, confronts self-doubt and discovers that the power she seeks lies not in winning back her ex, but in learning to value herself.

Equal parts absurdist space opera and coming-of-age adventure, this vibrant and vivid animation by writer-directors Emma Hough Hobbs and Leela Varghese balances outrageous humour with genuine emotional warmth.
