Disaster stories, especially weather-related events, sent newsreel companies into overdrive, much as they do with today's media. But 1920s camera crews were inevitably slow on the scene, relying on pictures of aftermath and wreckage. Here Topical Budget surveys the scene at Sandgate Castle near Folkestone, following a 'great storm'. Watch for the shadow cast by the cameraman on the castle ruins.
