But 1920s camera crews were inevitably slow on the scene, relying on pictures of aftermath and wreckage. Here Topical Budget surveys the scene at Sandgate Castle near Folkestone, following a 'great storm'. Watch for the shadow cast by the cameraman on the castle ruins.
