Mr. Pecksniff Fetches the Doctor

An Edwardian father-to-be is the star of this RW Paul caper.

While the title of this film intriguingly evokes the world of Charles Dickens, its lead character bears no resemblance to the sanctimonious, calculating widower Seth Pecksniff, notorious fictional villain of Dickens' immensely popular serial The Life and Adventures of Martin Chuzzlewit (1843-44). Anything but a scoundrel, RW Paul's protagonist is instead an expectant father, who in this comic caper of dressing and undressing, gets more than he bargained for.
