Don't expect dachshunds on surfboards. But this is a spirited variation on the popular early 'rough sea' film genre, adding playful pooches to the picture. The BFI National Archive's master of this film is a 17.5mm print. 17.5mm (essentially, 35mm film cut in half) was a format created for an early venture into home distribution. So it's apt that this film has a bit of a home movie quality to it.
