This daft comic short sees light-fingered tramp Winky doing his best to get one over on the local innkeeper: will the precious booze be his? The creation of music hall star Reggie Switz, Winky appeared in around 40 films produced by Bamforth and Company of Holmfirth, Yorkshire - one of the Victorian pioneers of early British cinema - during a brief filmmaking revival in the mid-1910s.
