Tommys' Xmas Pudding

Women factory workers go full steam to make sure troops on the Western Front have a little tradition at Christmas.

Non-Fiction 1916 1 mins Silent

Overview

Full steam ahead at the pudding factory! Thanks to the Army Christmas Pudding Fund organised by the London Daily News and the Daily Telegraph, thousands of troops enjoyed a little taste of tradition in difficult times. Though the canned puddings look more like ammunition than nutrition, the 1/2lb of pudding per soldier must have been a welcome treat.
