Street Scenes III: Raining cats and dogs

Horses pulling beer and a police dog feature in this children’s TV series that show children what they can see in the streets around them.

The third episode of the ILEA’s children’s series encouraging viewers at primary schools to look at the world around them, this time concentrating on weather and animals. A mixture of illustration and film, it includes several scenes clearly shot in London, including some of Londoners walking in the rain – a No 15 bus can be seen in the background – and horses pulling the Young’s beer cart in Wandsworth. A police dog also visits the studio.
