Round and About (Part One)
Meanderers on sunny days! Capturing scenery 'round and about' Herts and Beds during the summer of 1959; the first of two amateur films with pleasing hand-created title cards.
From the collection of:
Much like the pace of the film, the people of Beds and Herts whether by car or on foot, amble along in a leisurely fashion; the filmmaker allowing the viewer time to drink in the picturesque scenery in all its full colour glory - public gardens in full bloom, sun-reflecting still rivers, and the meanderers on sunny days. There are many localities featured; first, a visit to Welwyn, then Luton, Hemel Hempstead, Hertford, and finally Stevenage.
