Our Police

Glasgow police on their daily beat are kept busy protecting "your person and your property".

"The story of how 2000 men and women of the Glasgow Police Force guard your person and your property." The film depicts a number of (presumably staged) events - ranging from a lost toddler being reunited with his mother to a dramatic chase after a stolen car - all in order to demonstrate the variety of work handled by the police force.

This was made as a silent film, which was not uncommon for educational films of the time, usually for reasons of economy.
