Overview
Using pithy inter-titles, this film presents a gallery of auctioneers working at Maidstone's livestock market. Judging by the titles, these characters seem to be local legends in their own right. With prices in shillings, we see the auctioneers hard at work while local farmers and buyers look on. The film ends with a peek inside an 'egg' business - where Haydn B Parker, the egg expert and owner, is seen at work carrying boxes while his female employees pack the eggs.
