Kelloggs Frosties: Concorde

“Ooh, le Concorde!” Frosties join the jet age with a supersonic taste for breakfast.

1968 1 mins

Overview

In the same spirit of cross-Channel collaboration that saw the supersonic jet take shape, this endearing cereal ad finds a young British plane-spotter extol the virtues of Kellogg’s Frosties to a French chum. Capitalising on the excitement around the impending launch of “le Concorde”, budding young consumers were cultivated with the promise of their own scale model – in exchange for the requisite number of cereal packet tokens. “They’ve got sugar sprinkled all over them!” the boy exclaims in delight, a modern dietary no-no that makes this hopeful ad so of its time - along with the jet’s own sad demise three decades later.
