        Overview

Beer brewing has been a major part of life in Southwold for a few hundred years and, this report in 1963 shows that local brewer Adnams was confident it would continue producing high quaity beer and hold its own against the big breweries. We're taken behind the scenes in the brewery and follow the whole process from milling to grist through to sampling the end product in the local! Although machinery and methods may have changed, the beer is still as popular as ever.
