Overview

Countryside pursuits were popular features on the Edwardian social calendar and horse-breeding and racing were particularly important. Little is known about this Blackpool stud or its owners, though the smartly dressed man in a trilby at the centre of the proceedings is less likely to be the proprietor than the film-commissioner or showman, despite his evident ease in handling the animals.
