Visually hypnotic time-lapse footage of one of Stevenage's pedestrian walkways. An unintentionally experimental film sponsored by Stevenage Development Corporation.

Shot from a single and static viewpoint, this film shows the pedestrian traffic of a roundabout underpass, in one lunchhour in August 1970. You'd be hard pushed to spot yourself, as it's captured at one frame per second, giving a time-lapse document to establish the efficiency and usability of the road, cycleway and pedestrian networks. Unintentionally, the slow-moving clouds and changing sunlight is visually hypnotic! Made for the Stevenage Development Corporation.
