Overview
The arrival of electricity via overhead wire sparks big changes in the abiding lives of Cheshire countryfolk. With the flick of a switch, domestic tasks are transformed by electrified appliances, and dodgy wiring makes its debut with an outside socket. A dairy goes dynamic with automatic milking, while the farms and industries of Tarvin save labour with motor-driven machines.
