Chariot Riders
Beautifully animated short film about a boy's feelings of love for another boy – his best friend.
Overview
Told entirely through narration over dazzling 2D animation inspired by traditional Indian art, Chariot Riders is a visually striking, endearingly playful film about a boy's first crush on his best friend. This is the second of two films based on the theme of Love Works: Exploring South Asian LGBT relationships in contemporary Britain, animated by Kate Jessop and commissioned by Bobby Tiwana. The first, Little Elephant, is also available on BFI Player.
Chariot Riders is presented as part of Too Desi Too Queer, a selection of LGBTIQ+ short films curated by Bagri Foundation London Indian Film Festival.
