Voice Shift

A group of trans femme individuals work with a vocal coach to develop a voice that reflects their identity in Roberto Duque's powerful film.

Guided by a trans vocal coach, director Roberto Duque weaves together stories from different stages of their journeys. More than a study of technique, this is a story of identity, resilience and the wider social and political weight of a person’s voice and how they are heard.

Premiered at Aesthetica 2025 and nominated for Best Documentary Short at the British Short Film Awards.
