        Overview

Sweeping pans of Newcastle open this film, which shows housing developments beside the River Tyne before moving on to the railway station. The station building, opened by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1850, whilst en route to Deeside for their holiday, has remained largely unchained and filmmaker shows the busy entrance and trains arriving at the platform. The final scene shows the coach station.
