Glenda Jackson and Jon Finch play Welsh investigative journalists covering the Troubles in Northern Ireland only to unearth censorship and corruption back home.
Director: Karl Francis
Overview
Glenda Jackson and Jon Finch play a director and reporter team covering the Troubles in Northern Ireland for a Welsh TV company. When they manage to secure an interview with an IRA fugitive they believe they’ve hit the jackpot. But the attitude of their bosses leads them to suspect the real story – one of corruption and intrigue – lies closer to home.
Welsh-born director Karl Francis focused most of his film works on his home nation (such as his debut, Above Us the Earth, also on BFI Player), but his second film widens its emphasis to include Ireland as well.
