Evil under the Sun
Sin lurks even in paradise, as Hercule Poirot (Peter Ustinov) must solve the case of a former actress who is strangled on an idyllic island.
Director: Guy Hamilton
Overview
Peter Ustinov stars as Agatha Christie's fastidious detective, Hercule Poirot, in this star-studded murder-mystery. Poirot is tying up some loose ends on a shimmeringly beautiful Adriatic island when he's dragged into a new case. In typical Christie style, everyone on the beach has a motive for the murder, and it's up to Poirot to find out whose morals took a murderous turn.
With an A-list cast including Jane Birkin, Maggie Smith, and Peter Ustinov, Evil Under The Sun takes a classic Agatha Christie tale and gives it the five-star treatment. With the striking beauty of the Adriatic isles as its backdrop, the film glistens gloriously in the golden sunlight and gives a luxurious feel to the whole deadly affair.
