Bill
The Horrible Histories team’s take on Shakespeare’s ‘lost years’, following the hopeless lute player as he leaves his home to follow his dream.
Director: Richard Bracewell
Overview
The team behind Horrible Histories and Yonderland present Bill, the story of what really happened during Shakespeare’s ‘lost years.’ Hopeless lute player Bill Shakespeare leaves his home to follow his dream and finds himself caught up in adventures involving spies and a plot to blow up the queen.
Bill sees the dextrous talents of the Horrible Histories troupe put to good use in multiple roles, with the six key players tackling 40 different parts between them. The result is an irreverent, hilarious and energetic romp through history in the manner of Monty Python and Blackadder, which will also bring Elizabethan history to life for a new generation.
