Overview

The seventh round of the Benzole Motocross Championship takes place at South Molton. Motocross scrambling is the term used for motorcycle trial competitors competing for the winning position in an all-terrain race. Originally known in the UK as Scrambles, the sport grew internationally and became Motocross racing. The first scrambles’ race was held in 1924 and has gained in popularity and championship status.

Sporting events which have come about due to scrambles are freestyle events, SuperMoto, Quad Motocross, Supercross, Sidecarcross, Pit Bikes and mini-Motocross. Motocross is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme with many governing bodies in various nations.
