Overview
This episode of Pathé's History of the War - a series of seven-minute shorts on particular events of the conflict - takes us right back to the beginning with the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and the Austrian attack on Serbia. We see the Austrian generals arrive to mount their attack on Budapest, civilians fleeing the city by train or on ox carts and soldiers from Montenegro sailing from Scutari to the aid of their Serbian allies.
