Overview
Winner of a Cardiff Cine Society "Quickie Competition", this film by Pontypridd amateur film-maker, Evan Morgan, shows a League of Pity party (the NSPCC’s fund-raising organisation for children, founded 1891) on New Year’s Day 1953 at the New Inn Hotel, Pontypridd, attended by two girls whose long dresses for the occasion are seen being made at home.
