This interesting short film showcases the vibrant multicultural make-up of Bradford in the early 1970s. The camera pans through the city streets unassumingly focusing on people from many ethnic backgrounds as they go about their daily business. Despite the obstacles that they no doubt faced, we see that immigrants have managed to forge careers for themselves in the private and the public sectors.

After the end of the Second World War in 1945, there was a significant increase in immigration in the UK. Families from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and many other nations, were welcomed into the country by the British government. Many immigrants chose to reside in Yorkshire and continue to enrich local life and culture.
