Overview
This amazing record of a 1929 Bank Holiday starts with huge crowds walking around a fairground on Hampstead Heath. A man tests his strength while others watch women sliding down the Helter Skelter. A gypsy tells fortunes as shots are fired at the Shooting Gallery. As Steam Yachts swing we see a Pearly King and Queen - with their Pearly dog. After more crowded rides and the Coconut Shy, we see fairground people and their children going about their daily domestic tasks
