Finding His Counterpart
A comedy clot takes up phrenology and tries to find his ideal partner by feeling the bumps on women's heads, only to end up as a cannibal's dinner.
Overview
Bumps on the head lead to bumps all over for this hapless suitor. After visiting a phrenologist, he tries to feel women's scalps, causing much alarm. Blown up by suffragettes, he falls into the clutches of a cannibal who cooks and eats him. The trend for reading character from bumps on the head was past its sell-by date even by 1914, but producers Bamforth clearly saw its comic value.
