Walsall Market
The sights and sounds of Walsall Market
From the collection of:
Overview
"The good things of England are what we can see around". So says the former mayor of Walsall Sid Wright about the appeal of the town's market. And he should know - he's a stallholder with a thriving crockery business. The superlatives are certainly flowing during this news report: "the best midweek market in the country" it is claimed. It could even be justified if the stallholders' marketplace patter, which is captured by the news report, is anything to go by.
