Overview
The delights of dredging: men fill buckets with sludge that is being pickaxed out of the harbour at Plas Newydd, seat of the Anglesey family at Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll. The buckets are carried away by pulley, their contents tipped over a wall. The 6th Marquis of Anglesey – Charles Henry Alexander Paget – is there too, getting his hands dirty. His boat, the “Alert”, can be seen in the harbour.
