Skegness Welcomes You to Britain's Brightest Holiday Spot

Lincolnshire's wonder resort in full colour' or 'Truly does the holidaymaker exclaim: "there's something for everyone at Skegness"'.

With its entire opening section taken up with promotional ballyhoo in the form of titles trumpeting the attractions on offer at Skegness, this basic feature from Fenland Services takes an age to get going but, when it does, we're treated to wonderful nostalgic views of the Lincolnshire resort, where for once, the sun is shining and the wind not too bracing.

The film proudly boasts that Skegness has the fourth longest pier in Britain. Unfortunately, since 1978, that claim has been untrue: Skegness pier was cut up for scrap in 1978 after being badly damaged in a winter storm.
