A queer espionage film made in the tradition of the popular Cold War-era Thai dubbed films. A transgender sex worker impersonates a cisgender man in order to seduce and investigate a student activist. Highly original and charming, Red Aninsri screened at Locarno 2020 where it won the Cinema & Gioventu award for Best International Short.
