The lake in Roath Park, Cardiff, has frozen over, making life difficult for the park's wildlife but providing an exceptional skating opportunity for local humans.

Once every 30 years, according to the film-maker, Roath Park lake in Cardiff freezes over and provides a magnificent skating opportunity for Roath’s human residents but it is not so much fun for the wildlife – birds, water fowl and squirrels – who face starvation amidst the beauty of the snow and ice. Shot and narrated by Chris Jenkins, an award-winning stalwart of the Cardiff Ciné Society and proprietor of a hair salon in Charles Street.
