From the collection of:
This tale of illicit love, revenge and murder begins when John returns home early to learn of his wife, Sheila's infidelity. He follows the lovers one day and the paramour is shot dead. A tramp reports the crime and John now awaits execution. CID man, Bill Carter, promises the now remorseful Sheila that he'll find the real killer. After he investigates, John is freed. Bill tells how, in revenge, an ex-miner shot the lover, who’d stolen his haul of diamonds many years before.
