Plaques and presentations as the Queen Mother unveils new facilities at Latymer School, Edmonton, in North London
Latymer school, located in Edmonton, was established by wealthy merchant Edward Latymer in 1624. This film captures the opening of new north-western wing by the Queen Mother in 1966. The programme for the day included a ceremony in the school's Great Hall followed by a plaque unveiling and a tour of the new facilities along with interesting demonstrations - offering an insight into teaching at the time.
