The devilishly sarcastic tone of this newsreel adds a levity to the demolition of the North Harrow Cinema and the renewal that followed.
Environmental clutter and blatant noise pollution are at the forefront of this short newsreel. A brutal yet hilariously sarcastic tone scrutinises the chaos amidst an array of shots depicting the rubble, machinery and twisted metal surrounding the site. The various shops and buildings visible in the background make the proximity of the mayhem even more apparent. However, the brief look at the completed project that follows renders the devastation worthwhile.
