Miss Margaret Morris' Merry Mermaids
Budding dancers take to the beach at Harlech, north Wales, to show off their aquatic-themed moves
Overview
Students of Miss Margaret Morris' dance summer school show off their newly-learned moves in this utterly charming newsreel item. An energetic chorus line, movement in dizzying circles and a bizarre tableaux of a crab are all performed with gusto on the beach at Harlech, on the edge of Snowdonia. We're even treated to a glimpse of the rather Amazonian Miss Morris herself, before the budding dancers strike some final poses.
