Overview

In the final years of a proud tradition Stoke-on-Trent prepares for the annual holiday fortnight shut down. ATV reporter Lionel Hampden talks to the passenger officer at Stoke railway station who guarantees a seat for every traveller despite expecting 500 people on each train. Meanwhile, the Mayor of Stoke on Trent, Alderman Joseph Hulme, predicts the end of the traditional shut down despite the all powerful pottery workers being in favour of the status quo.
