Overview

An array of colourful costumes and carnival floats parade through Clacton’s town centre. From giant papier mache heads to Carnival Queens and marching bands, although most impressive is the balancing act of the cycling band. To cycle and to play an instrument looks no mean feat! Amateur filmmaker Herbert Gregory from Holland-on-Sea captured, over the years, many events in the neighbouring towns in Essex, including this Jubilee celebration.
