An introduction to the splendours, both ancient and modern, of Snowdonia: land, sheep, slate, gold, water, power, outdoor pursuits and the artist Kyffin Williams.

Produced in the European Year of the Environment for the Central Electricity Generating Board, this film uses Nature Conservancy Council warden Hywel Roberts as linkman. Eryri/Snowdonia is shown to be an area rich in historical, geographical and cultural significance, where the ancient (sheep, slate, castles) co-exist naturally with the modern (outdoor pursuits, electricity generation). Artist Kyffin Williams bears witness to the inspiring nature of the land.
