Duke's Visit to Aberystwyth 1973

Crowds turn out to see the Duke of Edinburgh as he visits the university's Old College and campus.

A crowd of well-wishers greet Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, outside the University of Wales' Old College on the promenade. The building is bathed in sunlight for his visit which takes place before the graduation ceremony in the Great Hall of the Arts Centre (completed only 3 years earlier). The Duke is present as Chancellor of the University of Wales.
