Seaside larks aplenty in this very early home movie by pioneer amateur filmmaker Alfred Passmore
The Passmore children enjoy the sea air as they run about on the beach in this early home movie, taken by their father Alfred. Although the film stock has suffered damage over the years, the children's ecstatic expressions remain just as clear and vibrant as they day they were filmed.
The film is one of a collection of 15 home movies, mostly shot by Alfred Ernest Passmore (1867-1948) of his family at home and on holiday between 1902 and 1903.
